Conor McGregor isn’t on board for a boxing rematch with Floyd Mayweather.
Mayweather — who faces MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura in an exhibition match this weekend — was recently quoted as saying that a rematch between the pair was in talks to potentially take place next year.
He added that there were talks of whether it would be an exhibition or a professional fight, with “Money” preferring the former.
“I want to go out there this weekend and have fun [against Mikuru Asakura]. Then I have another exhibition Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023. We don’t know if it’s going to be an exhibition or a real fight. But there’s been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition.”
Conor McGregor Provides Short Response To “Money”
Naturally, that was pretty big news given how massive and lucrative their first boxing fight was.
McGregor was quick to respond in a comment under an Instagram post.
However, it was not what many expected.

McGregor, of course, earned a nine-figure payday when he boxed Mayweather back in August 2017.
Despite having a few moments, the Irishman was ultimately outclassed by Mayweather on his way to a 10th-round TKO defeat.
Since then, the former two-weight champion has repeatedly expressed his desire to run things back with Mayweather.
And so, this latest development is not only surprising, but good news for those who are eager to see McGregor return to action inside the Octagon.
