Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria finally came into contact, and it wasn’t good.
The beginning of a feud
After a year of trash talk on social media, the rivals finally crossed paths. It all started when “The Baddy” made a nasty comment about the country Georgia on Twitter. Naturally, Topuria did not take kindly to it at all.
You think that’s funny?! In that attack by Russia against us, many innocent people lost their lives, including children! The one who supports terrorism and racism is one of them! This tweet will haunt you for life!@PaddyTheBaddy pic.twitter.com/IxRvn6FkXK

On Tuesday, Pimblett and Topuria ran into each other at the UFC fighter hotel, and an altercation took place. Pimblett threw a hand sanitizer at the Georgian fighter. And in return, Topuria threw a punch at Pimblett. The two fighters were then separated.
Before the video came out, Pimblett wrote on Twitter.
“Post the video lad if u have footage @Topuriailia. Let’s show the world u coming at me and me standing my ground against a full firm of 6 of u an then u throwing shots that I slip and bounce a hand sanitiser off ur head u little worm.”

Of course, after the altercation, both of the fighters hopped on Twitter to give their side of the story and pop another verbal jab at each other. Topuria started things off:
“I warned you!” Topuria wrote on Instagram. “This is what happens when you disrespect me and my country! You saw me and wanted to greet me because you shit your pants… and you should thank my team because of it wasn’t for them separating me, I would have taken your head off @theufcbaddy.”
It wouldn’t take long for the British star to reply back, with his side of the story.
“Imagine trying to jump someone on their own,” Paddy replied. “With 5 of your boys & you don’t land a single shot & get a bottle of hand sanitizer bounced off your head, you little [clown] don’t try to act big like you did something when you [sh*t] your pants pretending ur boys was holding u back p*ssy.”
What a day. Oh, and it’s only Tuesday. The UFC has yet to comment on the altercation.
Pimblett and Topuria return to action against this Saturday. Pimblett faces Rodrigo Vargas, while Topuria faces Jai Herbert.
