We bet you can't identify this confusing submission from Cage Warriors 60

Last night I spent nearly an hour editing an Eddie Bravo interview I did for a feature in High Times Magazine. When the issue is published, I'll be sure to hassle every person reading MiddleEasy to get a copy or it.

After I conducted the interview, Eddie disclosed to me that 30 minutes prior to the interview he had a sandwich entirely composed of THC-laden peanut butter and that he was going to teach an hour-long class on the stuff. It made for an interesting interview, but needless to say I had to cut out nearly 75% of it. It was rambling, highly interesting rambling however.

If only Eddie Bravo knew about this submission between Ivan Buchinger vs. Mick Sinclair from Cage Warriors 60 then he could name it something bizarre like -- '3:00 am Ramen noodle mastery.' Check it out.

Zeus @MiddleEasy

Zeus is represented by Galactus in his avatar image because he has an immature obsession with Marvel when they went all sci-fi back in the mid 80s. I'm the creator of MiddleEasy and Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Just kidding about the Nickelodeon stuff, but that would be really cool.

That's a scarf-hold armlock. Giedrius Karavackas hit one on Sam Oropeza at a Bellator event.

Pretty sure Eddie Bravo already knows of it's existence.

That's an old-school technique -- I learned it in 1996. Everything old is new again.

It's a belly down iron cross or belly down cattle catcher. in shoot wrestling terms as far as I can research. Pretty sure Josh Barnett has the answer...

Its really not that crazy. I learned that arm lock a few months into bjj classes. It's just not seen that often and I don't know why because its always available to go for, and basically zero risk if you try and fail.

awesome but yeah, as everyone said - it's something you learn during your first months of any submission grappling art (judo, sambo, bjj, etc.)

seriously, I think middleeasy is just trolling at this point or the people that post the articles have never trane-d anything in their life.

Um, Bas Rutten teaches people how to do this in his first set of DVDs from like 1998. Man, are you a bunch of TUF noobs or what. It`s an hammerlock from the scarfhold. Fucks sakes.

Arm locks from Kesa Gatame are badass. Ronda Rousey throws into this position quite often - off the top of my head she fell into this position against Carmouche and attempted this exact submission on her - but ended up leaving the position to go for an arm-bar.

It's almost an Americana... An early rank Judo submission usually done with your hands bringing their hand up behind their head to put pressure on the shoulder joint.
