Valerie Loureda has revealed her new WWE name as she begins her journey in professional wrestling. Loureda is one of several mixed martial artists who have eventually found their way into the realm of professional wrestling as of late. She signed with WWE recently and has been competing on their NXT developmental brand.

Loureda is a decorated striker in the combat sports world who holds a 4-1 professional record in MMA, with all of her fights having taken place under the Bellator MMA banner. However, the 24-year-old now seems dead-set on making a name for herself in a new realm of sport, that being the pro wrestling squared circle.

As is standard practice in WWE, stars don’t use their legal names on television, as they’re portraying a character. Now, Loureda has learned what her new name will be as she competes in between the ropes.

Valerie Loureda Shares New WWE Name

Loureda took to social media to reveal that she’ll now be going by the name Lola Vice, the first Cuban American woman in the history of the WWE. The striker also showed fans what she’ll be wearing inside the ring as she competes with a video. She had this to say about the upcoming journey:

“Lola Vice the first Cuban American woman in WWE history,” Loureda said. “This has been one of the most challenging transitions of my life, starting from scratch, passionately working towards my debut, in the best shape of my life, and I cannot wait to represent latinas, Miami, and show the world who the real Valerie Loureda is.”

Loureda joins several big names that have competed in MMA that have now switched over to professional wrestling; such as Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, Shayna Baszler, Matt Riddle, and many more. It will be interesting to see how long Loureda remains in WWE’s developmental program before she’s deemed ready for television.
