  • PFL will launch a new competition exclusive for European MMA fighters
  • The promotion is positive about discovering the most talented MMA fighters in the continent

PFL is constantly innovating and with the company locked on expanding globally, it will now launch “PFL Europe” which will be set to begin in 2023, the promotion announced.

A new competition

PFL Europe is basically a European league which will feature decorated MMA fighters from across the continent. It will be a completely different competition from the one that PFL runs every year. In the European league, fighters will compete to qualify for a spot in the promotion’s main roster.

The league will make its debut next year and all events will be staged live in different European countries. In the 2022 PFL Playoff qualifier events, winners will receive PFL Europe contracts.

MMA fans around Europe will be treated with prime time coverage of the fights on Channel 4 in the UK after PFL inked a deal with the network in February.

Among the most notable European prospects participating in the upcoming playoff qualifier events are British Muay Thai champion Dakota Ditcheva, Irish fighter Will Fluery and Scotland’s Louie Sutherland.

Exploring pfl Europe

PFL is thrilled to have come up with PFL Europe as the company is optimistic about exploring the unfathomed talents in the continent.

“I am pleased to announce the PFL will launch PFL Europe in 2023 to further advance the sport of MMA and fuel PFL’s next phase of global expansion starting in Europe, the number one international MMA growth region,” PFL CEO Peter Murray said. “Europe is rich with top fighters who are ready compete in the PFL’s season format on a major stage and passionate MMA fans throughout the region will now have access to premium events staged in Europe.”

PFL’s President of Fighter Operations Ray Sefo added:

“It has been an extremely rewarding experience putting together PFL Europe qualifier fights. PFL is about opportunity and we are proud of the opportunity we are providing fighters across Europe. I can’t wait to get to work on the first season of PFL Europe.”

With PFL now laying out a new platform, let’s see if it can discover the next European MMA superstar.
