Robert Whittaker vs. Israel Adesanya Is Reportedly Being Planned For UFC 243 On October 6 In Australia
UFC is planning to book a title unification bout between division’s champion Robert Whittaker and interim titleholder Israel Adesanya at UFC 243 PPV event on October 6 from inside the Bankwest Stadium in Sydney, Australia according to a news outlet MMADNA.nl.
Earlier this month UFC president Dana White had confirmed that Israel Adesanya who captured an interim title after defeating Kelvin Gastelum in an epic five-round war at UFC 236 would be challenging Whittaker in Australia.
Nothing is official as of yet but keep an eye as developments are underway.
Since capturing a UFC interim middleweight title back in 2017 later promoted to undisputed champion Robert Whittaker has continuously been dealing with medical issues. First, a knee injury against Yoel Romero put him on the shelf for several months. His title defense bouts at UFC 221 and UFC 224 canceled, first one due to a staph infection and second one after ‘Reaper’ underwent emergency surgery for a collapsed bowel and hernia repair on the fight day.
Whittaker is currently recovering but looking forward to a title unification bout.

Israel will be destroyed, he didn’t beat Gastelum by much and Whittaker hits harder than Gastelum, he’s faster and more accurate.
The mouthy Israel is going to lose.
