Dana White And Donald Cerrone React To Conor McGregor Fight News

Dana White heard what Conor McGregor had to say about fighting in January. However, he says that there is a little more to the story than that.

McGregor recently made news with a press conference in Moscow. It was here, that he said that he was going to make his UFC return on January 18th, in Vegas. While he did not say who he would be fighting, it was reported that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone is the top contender.

Although, when Dana White heard this news, he had a different perspective on the situation. Speaking with Brett Okamoto, he did confirm that the UFC was looking to book Conor on that card. However, he said there is still a lot of work to do before the bout is official.

“Dana White, on Conor McGregor’s comments this morning regarding a return date of 1/18 in Las Vegas. ‘Yes, we are targeting that date for Conor’s return but no deals are even close to being signed.'”

However, Dana White was not the only one who chimed in on the recent news. Cerrone himself piped up, with Instagram post that was not exactly vague. In the post, he has a bottle of McGregor’s Proper 12 whiskey, alongside a bottle of Budweiser, a sponsor of Cerrone. Additionally, he included a simple message.

“Need I say more??”

If the reports are to be believed, then it appears that we will be seeing Conor McGregor vs Donald Cerrone in January. On the other hand, if you listen to Dana White, this could very well end up falling apart. Time will tell when we will see “The Notorious” one back in the Octagon.
