Somehow rapper Riff Raff stopping Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle from using a steel chair was not the best moment of UR Fight’s first show. All these matches were done in a modified pro wrestling/boxing ring that looked like it was going to fall apart at any moment and was very unsafe for any sort of combat.
UR Fight also booked two local MMA fights to open the night’s festivities. The first MMA match set for the tone for the rest of the card’s unique take on all things combat sports.
The most UR Fight thing that could possibly UR Fight happened 30 seconds into a fight between 45 year old Shannon “The Cannon” Ritch and nine years retired Mavrick Harvey as they both fell through the loose the rings ropes. Rules of UR Fight state if your opponent falls out of the ring its ok to keep punching him in the face. Falls counts anywhere in UR Fight.
