Throughout fight week, Jones butted heads with members of the media. Bones walked out in the middle of interviews and total reporters they suck at their jobs. In 2018, people hate the media in general, so some of these moves might have gained Jones more fans than he lost. Hashtag Fake News, all caps locked Click Bait and pound the exclamation point key when they type out ‘journalism is dead’ kind of Internet folks.
You know the type. Jones fed into the narrative that the media is out to get everyone throughout the build to UFC 232. The media made Jon Jones do all the PEDs, sources say at least.
So it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Bones Jones went off on Michael Bisping during the UFC on Fox post-show for UFC 232. It’s not like Bisping isn’t an easy target for everyone. Sure Bisping loves to stir the pot whether he’s hyping a fight or conducting an interview.
