Of all the athletes, the most notable is Finnish fighter Makwan Amirkhani. Making his debut with the promotion in 2014, ‘Mr. Finland’ won six of his first eight appearances inside the Octagon, but struggled to find the win column in recent years, losing five of his last six en route to being handed his walking papers.
Released UFC Fighters Were on Multi-Fight Losing Streaks
Dana White’s Contender Series alumnus Tony Gravely fared a bit better in recent years, going 4-4, but back-to-back losses against Javid Basharat and Victory Henry ultimately put an end to his middling run with the promotion.
Trevin Jones showed a lot of promise in his promotional debut scoring a second-round knockout against Mario Bautista, but things quickly turned sour for the New Orleans native. Jones would lose his last four bouts, including a unanimous decision loss to Cody Garbrandt in March.
Mongolian standout Danaa Batgerel began his tenure with the UFC winning in three of his first four appearances before a three-fight losing skid cost him his job.
