Middleweights meet in the main event of UFC Vegas 86.
Philedelphia power-puncher Joe Pyfer enters his first UFC headliner against Jack Hermansson. ‘Bodybagz’ is undefeated inside the Octagon with three-straight KO’s. Pyfer seeks four in a row versus the #11-ranked contender.
This is Hermansson’s first fight since a submission loss to Roman Dolidze in Dec. 2022. The 35 year-old looks to get back to winning ways in his fifth main event after not having fought all last year due to injuries.
Pyfer vs. Hermansson is scheduled for five rounds from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Round 1:
Pyfer throws big shots to begin the fight. Leg kick lands for Pyfer. Leg kick lands for Hermansson. Hermansson throws a body kick. Pyfer throws another leg kick. Hermannson returns with a leg kick off his kick. Pyfer comes in with a good left hand. Action is paused for a moment by the referee. Pyfer pushes forward, stunning Hermansson with a huge right hand. Pyfer works to the body. Pyfer works behind the jab. Pyfer continues to punish Hermansson with the jab. Pyfer dodges a leg kick from Hermansson.

Round 2:
Pyfer swings to the body. 1-2 lands big for Pyfer. Pyfer throws over the top. Hermansson attempts a takedown but Pyfer stuffs it. Leg kick lands for Pyfer. Hermansson lands a jab. The middleweights trade leg kicks. Pyfer eats another leg kick. Pyfer puts on the pressure on Hermansson once again. Combos land for ‘Bodybagz’. Hermansson pumps out the right hand. Pyfer blocks a headkick from Hermansson.

Round 3:
Hermansson evades a few strikes from Pyfer. Hermansson lands a short left hand. Leg kick lands for Pyfer. Hermansson lands the jab twice in a row. Knee lands for Hermansson. Hermansson gets off a good cross. Hermansson stays busy in the striking department with a teep kick and a punch to the eye that stuns Pyfer.
Knee to the body lands for Hermansson. Pyfer hunts down Hermansson in the final 30 seconds of the round. Hermansson lands a big body shot. Hermansson stands his ground, landing the jab and unleashing a flurry of strikes before the bell.

Round 4:
Hermansson chops Pyfer with a great leg kick. Pyfer tries to close the distance. Hermansson works the jab. Another leg kick lands for ‘The Joker’. Pyfer goes to the body with punches. Pyfer eats a leg kick from Hermansson before clinching up with his opponent. They break. Pyfer is a bit more active in this round, increasing his output of strikes. Hermansson returns with a punch. They clinch for a moment but break. Jab continues to land for Hermansson.
Pyfer shoots for a takedown but Hermansson defends well, managing to deny it.

Round 5:
Pyfer swings big to begin the final round. The middleweights play it from a distance. Hermansson hits the nose of Pyfer, which starts to bleed. Hermansson gets the first takedown of the fight. Hermansson hits Pyfer with his shoulder a couple of times. Hermansson lands a short elbow from top position. Pyfer has no answer for Hermansson’s top game and the European lets him have it with ground and pound in the final seconds of the fight.
