Michael Bisping has a wild idea for the UFC 300 main event and it involves Brock Lesnar and Tom Aspinall.
Much speculation has been made over what the UFC will do for its UFC 300 main event on April 13. Some including well-known MMA journalist Ariel Helwani have said that with Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler not being featured on the PPV, the UFC eliminated its biggest possible headliner for the show.
Of course, the UFC brass is thinking doubling up on PPV buys for UFC 300 and an event centered around Conor McGregor is the smart business move.
Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall Suggested By Michael Bisping For UFC 300
During a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, Michael Bisping didn’t rule out the possibility of another Brock Lesnar fight in the UFC. Lesnar has been retired from pro MMA competition and has been enjoying great success in his second WWE run.
Still, Bisping thinks there is a shot to see Lesnar return to the Octagon.
“Who would really push the needle in a massive way? Well, I said, Brock Lesnar,” Bisping said. “He’s only 46, he’s still a draw, people love him. The UFC and the WWE, they’re both owned by the same parent company now, so I would imagine that the politics and the contractual stuff, that would be pretty easy waters to navigate. So, I can’t see that being a hurdle but who would the opponent be, right?”
Rankings be damned, Bisping says Aspinall, who currently holds the interim UFC Heavyweight Championship, should go one-on-one with “The Beast” on the UFC’s biggest show of 2024.
“Brock Lesnar’s a heavyweight, who’s he gonna fight? Well, call me crazy, call me Tom Aspinall’s number one fanboy, but could you imagine Brock Lesnar vs. Tom Aspinall headlining UFC 300?”
