- A medical issue has forced the bout between budding contenders Daniel da Silva and Vinicius Salvador to get scrapped from UFC 282
- Paddy Pimblett and Jan Blachowicz successfully made weight for their respective main and co-main event fights
UFC 282 is set to go down tomorrow at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz will take on top-ranked contender Magomed Ankalaev in the headlining bout of the card while Paddy Pimblett will mark his return to action against Jared Gordon in the co-main event of the night.
Medical issue after weight miss scraps fight from UFC 282
Daniel da Silva and Vinicius Salvador were scheduled to compete in a flyweight contest on the preliminary card. Da Silva missed the 125-pound division’s weight limit by three pounds at the early weigh-ins. A medical issue reportedly forced him to withdraw later.

As for Salvador, he will likely keep the ‘show’ purse money for making weight but it’s not yet known whether the pair will be booked again for another card. Salvador was looking to make his mark under the UFC banner after making his way through Dana White’s Contender Series. He has developed a reputation for being one of the most exciting prospects, with 13 knockouts and all finishes in 14 total wins.
Paddy Pimblett & Jan Blachowicz make the main attractions official
Paddy Pimblett came in at 156 pounds, making weight with the one-pound allowance for nontitle fights. His opponent Gordon came in slightly under Pimblett at 155.5 pounds to get the co-main event the green light for tomorrow.
Jan Blachowicz came in under the light heavyweight limit at 204.5 pounds against Magomed Ankalaev, who was on point at 205 pounds to make the main event official.
