New betting lines released by Bovada, where St-Pierre as a -200 favorite over +160 underdog Diaz.
Georges St-Pierre has been sidelined with a medical ailment since beating Michael Bisping at UFC 217 in November is currently mulling a return to Octagon and confirms earlier this year that he could return at lightweight. St-Pierre said at March’s MMA Hour if he does compete again, the chance to bolster his legacy is the most important selling point and addressed two names, Nate Diaz and Tyron Woodley.
Nate Diaz hasn’t competed since suffering a decision loss to Conor McGregor back in August 2016. Earlier this year, Diaz hinted at a UFC return, with multiple reports also linked Diaz to a proposed fight with welterweight champion Tyron Woodley at UFC 219, but nothing came to fruition.
UFC 227 is set to take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles Aug. 4. The card airs on (PPV) pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
