Tyron Woodley Says ‘Darren Till Has To Knock Me Out To Win’ At UFC 228

Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley Says Specialist Darren Till Has To Knock Him Out To Win At UFC 228

Its just two days left to UFC 228, undisputed welterweight champion Tyron Woodley is more than ready to face rising contender Darren Till. During his recent interview with MMAFighting, ‘The Chosen’ was asked how he’s preparing himself for an undefeated Darren Till as compared to striking specialist Stephen Thompson.

According to Woodley, Till is a specialist, and there’s the only way ‘The Gorilla’ can win in a five round war is to knock him out.

“He’s still a specialist and he still only has one way to win a fight. He can only win by knocking me out. He is not going to be me in five rounds, he is not going to outpoint me. He is not going to out-wrestle me, out-grapple me, and he is not going to throw punch for punch with me and win in a one-punch KO, he’s not going to win any of that. He has to knock me out to win. So he’s still a specialist.”

Woodley has been knocked out only once in his MMA career when Nate Marquardt handed ‘The Chosen One’ his first defeat via fourth-round KO back in 2012 under Strikeforce banner.

Till proved his knockout power as evidence during his showdown against Donald Cerrone at UFC Fight Night 118. Regardless of all, Woodley is also a hardcore fighter, with 18-3 overall, believes he’ll adjust and get to know ‘The Gorilla’s’ striking heavy approach and pull a victory.

If Woodley successfully defended his title and handing Darren Till his first career defeat is definitely a booster.

Hey maniacs what you say, can Woodley hands Englishman his first career defeat?
