Tyron Woodley: “No Match Versus Kamaru Usman If Darren Till Miss The Scale”

Tyron Woodley Wants To Fight Darren Till No Matter What Happens

The UFC Welterweight title match between Darren Till and Tyron Woodley is slated for the main event of UFC 228. It will be held at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, Texas, on September 8, 2018. Their social media war is on. Till stated that he sees doubt in Woodley’s eyes during the promotional press conference. Woodley fired back, claiming there is no doubt. T-Wood also added Till should believe he can beat him out. Otherwise, The Gorilla should look for another job!

UFC became suspicious after Darren Till missed the scale two times. He weighed 176 pounds for the match versus Jessin Ayari at UFC Fight Night 109. Till’s weight for Stephen Thompson showdown at UFC Fight Night 130 was 173.5 pounds. UFC has a short notice solution – Kamaru Usman. He waits to see whether Till is going to hit the scale or not.

But Tyron Woodley sees things differently. He stated he plans to fight Darren Till no matter what happens. After all, his main goal is greatness. Woodley won’t fight Kamaru Usman on a short notice. T-Wood says he trained hard for 6 foot 3 inches tall striker, not 5 foot 10 inches wrestler. Woodley wants to prepare properly. (via bloodyelbow.com)

“I’m chasing greatness. If he doesn’t make weight, he takes away for me the opportunity to add a fourth title defense on my resume. Whether he’s 176 or 170 on the dot, he’s still going to get that ass-whopping.”

“Me and Usman will fight at some point in time. But I’m not going to fight you on under 24-hour notice. I’ve been training for a 6-foot-3 striker, southpaw. Not a 5-foot-10 wrestler. Negative. I’m a world champion. I deserve proper notice. I deserve proper time to prepare and train for a world title I’ve worked so hard for. If he wants to fight me, it’s going to be a full training camp. I’ll gladly take that if offered.”

Kamaru Usman didn’t say anything yet. What do you think, will Darren Till miss the scale for the third time? Do you support Tyron Woodley?
