The fighters on this season of The Ultimate Fighter seem to be getting the same advice from Conor McGregor.

For years The Ultimate Fighter TV show was a great way for young fighters to work their way into the UFC. Not only was the show compelling for the loaded fight content, but the storylines and drama have become a fan favorite. The newest season of the series is filming now and it seems that the drama is already building. The coaches this time around are Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. As many fight fans know, where McGregor goes, drama seems to follow.

The filming of the show is supposed to be private with little to no leaks before airing. This season has broken that rule. There have been many tidbits leaked to the public and even Dana White gave fans a little peek into the madness that has gone on so far. Now the fighters featured on the show are giving a look into the kind of coach McGregor is.

TUF athletes give their best impressions of Conor McGregor

This is the second time coaching on the show for McGregor. He was a coach back in 2015 across from Urijah Faber. At the time he was very loud and outspoken both in the corner of a fight and in the gym. It seems he is still that way as the athletes on his team spoke with The Schmo to give their impressions of their coach.

Several of the men gave a quote that included “close your fists.” That seemed to be a trend when McGregor was instructing his fighters. McGregor trained the majority of his career at SBG Gym in Ireland under the tutelage of John Kavanagh. His team is there in Las Vegas with him assisting him in his coaching role.

Fans will get a chance to see Team McGregor and Team Chandler go up against each other every week beginning in May on ESPN.
