Alexander Volkanovski‘s got jokes.
The UFC Featherweight Champion returns to rule his division at UFC 298. Volkanovski is set to meet highly-touted young gun Ilia Topuria in the main event which goes down Feb. 17 in Anaheim.

Topuria, who is confident as ever, has been taking a lot of shots at the champ in the countdown to their fight. However, the promos the 27 year-old ‘Matador’ has been cutting now have some competition from his upcoming adversary.
Volkanovski, 35, partnered up with Sportsbet.com.au for a hilarious skit about the doubt that rolls in with getting older.
“Volkanovski too old, they’ll make a headline out of anything these days,” Volkanovski said in the advertisement. “All this talk about the over-35 curse is nonsense. So, I’ve let the SportsBet crew in to prove I’m just as youthful as these whipper-snappers.”

“I still don’t get these hot takes on my age though,” Volkanovski said, while he hilariously pours tomato juice into a jar. “I’ll still fight anyone, anywhere, anytime… maybe not in tomato season or after 11pm.”

While the title challenger Ilia Topuria may have more youth on his side at 27, Alexander Volkanovski will look to prove age is just a number with a successful title defense at UFC 298.
