Too Little Conor Mcgregor Staying At 155-Pound, To Avoid Getting Smashed By Champ Tyron Woodley

Tyron Woodley Rooting For Former Two-Division Champion Conor Mcgregor At UFC 229 So He Can Smash Him

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley expects undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov to retain his lightweight gold at UFC 229 on October 6, at the same time ‘Chosen One’ is also hoping UFC cash cow, Conor McGregor, to come out a winner as well.

Irishman has an opportunity to regain his title back which he never lost when he takes on Nurmagomedov in the main headliner on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas.

Many predicting it’s a two-way fight. Either McGregor can finish the bout with a knockout punch or Khabib will drop Irishman to the canvas and put ground and pound beating on him.

Woodley said when Mcgregor beat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to become the first fighter to hold titles in two-division simultaneously, there was speculation he would continue moving up in the division. Well, Mcgregor is no stranger to welterweight division having fought twice- splitting a pair of bouts with Nate Diaz back in 2016. There has been some speculation about Mcgregor vs. Woodley to go down for champ versus champ fight.

Woodley had an impromptu encounter with Mcgregor after the UFC 205 weigh-ins. ‘Chosen One’ says Notorious knows that one thing that stands in the way of a fight with Mcgregor is Irishman knows how the fight would play out.

twitter beef:

Woodley speaking on his TMZ show, The Hollywood Beatdown, said he will be present on desk side at UFC 229 and has invested interest in the results of Khabib versus Mcgregor title fight.

“Conor thought he wanted smoke and then he realized he really didn’t,” Woodley told TMZ (via MMA Fighting). “I would smash him. He’s too little. He’s got one punch. What fighter have I ever fought that’s been able to beat me with one tool?”

If the stars align and Woodley can get his wish, a super fight with Mcgregor has to wait. Woodley needs a hand surgery and is expected to return to Octagon in the early quarter of 2019.
