Tony Ferguson claims that the UFC has offered him a spot on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter to coach against Conor McGregor.

It seems that the newest upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) could be featuring two huge names in the sport. The reality fight show has been on the air for almost twenty years and has seen some of the sport’s biggest stars find their way into the UFC by winning the competition. For those who do not know the premise is two teams made up of eight fighters compete against each other for a spot on the UFC roster and a contract. Each team is coached by a current fighter in the UFC.

The next season is in the works right now as the casting is in process and coaches will be announced soon. Two men are now claiming that they have received the call to coach, Tony Ferguson, and Conor McGregor.

Tony Ferguson explained that he has his choice of rival coach on TUF

Earlier this week McGregor shocked many when he announced that he had been contacted to coach this next season of TUF. McGregor was a coach once before against Urijah Faber, although the two did not fight after the season ended. Now he says he is interested in coaching again but did not disclose who the other coach would be. Now Tony Ferguson has come out to reveal that it is him.

“I’ve Been Asked To Coach On TUF Against Ol’e Fathead, or Anyone Of My Choosing If That Cake-Eatin’ Sum’Bish’ Wouldn’t Show *mack* What A Vagina,” he wrote. “Always Ready Anytime Anywhere,… I Choose You McKnacker @TheNotoriousMMA. See Ewe Soon- Thee Champ -CSO-.”

There is no official word yet to confirm what Ferguson is saying is true but if it is these two, they might have the chance to fight in the end. Ferguson has not won a fight in five bouts and McGregor is not even eligible to return to the Octagon until he undergoes six months of USADA testing. There are a lot of unanswered questions in regard to this coaching possibility, but it seems that many fans are interested to see this play out.
