- Hollywood star Tom Hardy wins a BJJ match via armbar in a recent event
- The 44-year-old is said to have submitted two opponents on the same event
Hardy has been practicing Jiujitsu for quite some time now, and has earned a reputation for playing a number of roles in movies and TV shows including The Dark Knight Rises, Peaky Blinders, and Mad Max Fury Road.
Not all movie stars can fight in real life but certainly, Tom Hardy isn’t one of them. In fact, the “Venom” star recently won gold in both gi and no-gi divisions in a BJJ tournament held in the United Kingdom.

For those who didn’t know, Hardy has earned a blue belt in BJJ and is believed to have begun training MMA since his 2011 movie “Warrior.” He is the lead ambassador for REORG BJJ Foundation, an organization launched in partnership with the Royal Marines Charity. REORG seeks to serve as a platform for serving personnel and veterans to learn the beautiful sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

From the look of it, it seems like Hardy has a couple of grappling moves in his bag. Will he ever consider competing in a more competitive tournament? Let’s wait and see.
