Conor Mcgregor the MMA megastar isn’t competing on the UFC 223 card, but he still showed up for media day to wreak havoc. Mcgregor and members of his entourage crashing a pre-fight press event threw objects at a bus, chucking a barricade and prompting a scene of general mayhem that left UFC lightweight fighter, Michael Chiesa injured who suffered facial lacerations.
As per recent reports, Michael Chiesa has been pulled out of his scheduled lightweight bout against former division champion Anthony Pettis, which was set to go down on the main card UFC 223 pay-per-view (PPV) event on April 7, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Reason for the cancelation are the cuts Chiesa sustained on his face, I’m told.

Chiesa was transported to a Brooklyn hospital Thursday afternoon after suffering multiple cuts.
Chiesa took to Twitter to announce that he was “devastated” by the news and asked Pettis to rebook the fight in June:
A decision was made by the New York State Athletic Commission to pull me from UFC 223. I’m devastated to say the least. @Showtimepettis I hope to run this match up ASAP, June 9th in your backyard. That’s all I have to say for now. Much love.

Not only that, a flyweight showdown between Ray Borg and Brandon Moreno is the latest casualty of Conor McGregor’s Thursday mayhem.
Per sources, Chiesa/Pettis and Borg/Moreno are both off. Chiesa’s facial cuts, and his weight cut was thrown off. Borg started to experience problems with his eye, from the particles of glass.

Borg was also on board in a bus that was attacked by Mcgregor and his member of entourage at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, following UFC 223 media day. Ray Borg, who was sitting next to “Maverick” was also injured by flying glass in his eyes. He went to a local hospital later in the day complaining about an inability to close his eyes due to a shred of glass.
Artem Lobov a friend of Conor Mcgregor was allegedly involved in that incident was immediately pulled from his featherweight fight with Alex Caceres by UFC president Dana White.
Dana White told reporters earlier Thursday that warrant is out for Conor McGregor’s arrest and they are looking for him right now. Moreover, White admonishes Conor McGregor’s disgusting and criminal behavior at UFC 223.
No further detail on whether Borg or Moreno will receive show money for the event, or if the fight might be rescheduled.
UFC Vice President of Athlete Development Reed Harris also reported that one of his co-workers suffered a broken hand in the melee. As for McGregor, he is wanted for questioning by NYPD law enforcement for Thursday afternoon antics.
