The judges may have said Mizugaki lost, but he got paid like a winner by Dana White

Winning isn’t everything. For example, it isn’t an elephant. If that doesn’t make any sense then I apologize. It’s just that being Scottish and stereotypically quite mean with money I’m not used to the idea that people will get given bonuses even when they have not successfully completed the task for which said bonus was allocated to, unless they are bankers. On top of that, being a cynical left-winger it completely baffles me that people with money will give some to people without money because they believe they deserve it. It discombobulates me. I’ve had to sit down and have a stiff drink (Scotch of course) before writing this.

After holding dominant positions for most of his fight with Chris Cariaso, Takeya Mizugaki lost a controversial but unanimous decision. Dana White stated on Twitter immediately after the fight that Mizugaki “got screwed” and taking the law into his own hands, announced at the post-fight presser that Mizugaki would still be awarded his win bonus.
