Unsurprisingly, Sean Strickland had a very strong reaction to Tuesday’s Vice Presidential debate.

Ohio Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz faced off to debate some of the most trying topics ahead of the 2024 election between current VP Kamala Harris and ex-POTUS Donald Trump. Thus far, UFC fighters have been overwhelmingly in favor of Trump. Perhaps the most outspoken being former middleweight champion Sean Strickland who once again offered his live commentary on X as things unfolded between Vance and Walz in NYC.

Take a look at some of Strickand’s more memorable ramblings on the matter below:

Of course, Sean Strickland wasn’t the only one to lend his opinion on the final debate ahead of election night. 15-fight UFC veteran Al Iaquinta offered some praise to JD Vance, suggesting that he was “speaking circles” around the competition.

Also commenting was flyweight grappler Cody Durden who shared a couple of American flag emojis in response to a post that also praised Vance.

Despite having 10 fights inside the Octagon, Durden is probably best known for a groan-inducing display of sinophobia when he said he was going to send Chinese fighter Aorqileng “back to China where he came from” following a November 2021 clash.

Brendan Fitzgerald, the play-by-play man for the UFC that night, did his best to try and skirt past the ignorant statement, but Daniel Cormier made it clear that he wouldn’t tolerate such a thing while conducting post-fight interviews inside the Octagon.

“Fitzy, I was watching the highlights as he said that, so you know, you say that, I take the microphone, Fitzy,” Cormier said. “I have nothing else to do there.”

Durden has lost two of his last three inside the Octagon.
