Sean was refreshed
In a post on X about the encounter, Strickland, who gained notoriety for his controversial takes on various matters, expressed how “refreshing” the experience was with Trump and ultimately called for racial and gender equality.
“After 3 years of being told Americans are bad, it is refreshing to see someone celebrate this country and its citizens. I bleed red white and blue. There was a time we all did. I’m still waiting for the day we end the race, gender and income propaganda to finally realize we’re all Americans in this together,” the former champ wrote.

Trump has long been known in the UFC for having ties with welterweight contender Colby Covington. However, the former POTUS was also in attendance when Dricus du Plessis dethroned Strickland at UFC 297. DDP even revealed that he had to pay a $10k fine for jumping over the fence to get up close and personal with Trump.
As it stands, Strickland has yet to be booked for his next fight. He is unlikely to rematch Du Plessis but is being viewed as a perfect matchup for Jared Cannonier and Khamzat Chimaev.
