Sean O’Malley and Joe Rogan Discuss Sean Strickland’s Performance Against Adesanya, Dillon Danis’ Impending Lawsuit

According to Sean O’Malley, former middleweight champ Israel Adesanya looked like he was “stuck in the mud” during his UFC 293 title tilt with Sean Strickland.

Fans and fighters alike can’t stop raving about Strickland’s picture-perfect performance against ‘The Last Stylebender’ at the promotion’s latest pay-per-view offering in The Land Down Under. While some believe Adesanya delivered a flat performance, others suggest it was Strickland’s smothering style that rendered the two-time titleholder’s offense ineffective for a full five rounds.

Speaking about the fight alongside UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley, longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan agreed that Adesanya delivered an incredibly flat performance, but was more than willing to give credit where credit was due.

“We talked about that last night. There could have been multiple issues,” Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast. “Could just be a weird physical thing. Maybe he just woke up and just didn’t feel good, which does happen. It would suck a fat d*ck if that happened on a world title fight against a guy that’s been talking mad sh*t about you and calling you a slut for China, but it can happen to people where you’re just flat.

“Also, before we say any of that, Sean Strickland looked so f*cking good that I don’t know if that was Izzy being flat. It might be that he underestimated him.

Rogan continued, “He’s also got that front kick to the body off the left leg that nobody is talking about. That was so important because he’s standing straight up and you don’t know when it’s coming and every now and then, he stabs you in the gut. And he doesn’t throw a lot of kicks, but he throws a very effective left front kick and his f*cking checks are on the money.”

Strickland looked shockingly calm throughout the five-round affair given the high stakes, but considering his penchant for hard sparring, Rogan believes it was just another day at the office for Strickland.

“That motherf*cker spars like that so often that he’s composed,” Rogan said. “It’s just another day. He doesn’t get tired. In the fifth f*cking round. I was watching his stomach in between rounds. Flat. Just standing there drinking water like 50-60 beats a minute. This is crazy. This guy’s calm and relaxed in the fifth f*cking round of his first world title fight against one of the greatest of all time.”

Sean O’Malley Believes The Lawsuit Against Dillon Danis Could Affect His Performance Against Logan Paul

Turning their attention to the growing spectacle that is influencer boxing, Sean O’Malley shared his thoughts on the impending scrap between BJJ specialist Dillon Danis and social media sensation Logan Paul.

The pair are currently scheduled to step inside the boxing ring on October 14 as part of Misfits Boxing’s ‘The PRIME Card’ in Manchester, England. Upon being initially announced, many, including O’Malley and his coach, Tim Welch, fully expected Danis to pull out of the fight, as he did with his previously scheduled scrap with KSI earlier this year, but thus far, Danis has remained insistent that he will be ready to go come fight night.

“I saw him tweet f*ckin’, ‘I’m out, peace’ or something, but I’d see someone confirm that he didn’t pull out, but that motherf*cker, [Tim Welch] has been calling it since day one that motherf*cker’s not showing up, but he hasn’t pulled out yet,” O’Malley said on The Joe Rogan Experience

As their contest grows closer, Dillon Danis finds himself in a bit of hot water courtesy of Logan Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal. After incessantly trolling Agdal online and posting sexually explicit photos of the Danish swimsuit model, Danis was slapped with both a restraining order and a lawsuit that could find him on the hook for hundreds of thousands of dollars after potentially violating state and federal ‘revenge porn’ laws.

“Lawsuits, lawyers, and that sh*t, there’s nothing more f*cking stressful and frustrating going through that stuff and Dillon doesn’t probably doesn’t have a lot of cheddar and now he’s getting sued,” O’Malley added. “Now he has to hire a lawyer and those lawyer bills build the f*ck up so I bet he’s f*cking stressing.”

In addition to the pending lawsuit, Danis could also face a potential $100,000 fine if he pulls out of his fight against Logan Paul without a reasonable cause i.e. injury.
