Sean O’Malley has responded to Henry Cejudo’s recent UFC 292 PPV buy rate claim.

O’Malley headlined UFC 292, challenging Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight gold. The “Sugar” show scored a second-round TKO finish to capture the 135-pound title. The UFC has been making a strong promotional push for O’Malley due to his star power, but Cejudo recently called his popularity into question.

In a video uploaded on his YouTube channel, “Triple C” claimed UFC 292 didn’t exactly draw a high number (h/t MMAMania).

“Guess what, guys, I have friends at ESPN. I’m not gonna say who but Sean O’Malley did anywhere between 300,000 to 350,000 [PPV buys],” Cejudo said. “That’s it. That’s all Sean O’Malley made in pay-per-view buys. Is 350,000 pay-per-view buys — is that a surplus or is that down? The other guy who will probably more than likely know is Aljamain Sterling.”

Sean O’Malley Fires Back At Henry Cejudo

Sean O’Malley caught wind of Cejudo’s claim and he hopped on Twitter to post the following response:

“Henry sayin Me and Aljo ‘only’ did 350k ppv according to his (girlfriend ) source. I just talked to the ufc and I heard upwards of 570k … legit no kizzy not making this up heard Aljo vs Henry did 135k. Also Henry 5’2 lol.”

It didn’t take long for Cejudo to hurl a personal diss towards O’Malley.

“Sean you leave your chin more wide open than your wack ass marriage. I would have you eating thru a McGregor coke-straw. Sign the Contract b*tch.”

Whether or not Henry Cejudo will be next for Sean O’Malley remains to be seen. Many are convinced that the “Sugar” show will ultimately take on Marlon “Chito” Vera in a rematch. Vera is the only fighter to hand O’Malley a pro MMA loss thus far. O’Malley recently posted on social media that he can’t wait to share the Octagon with “Chito” again.
