Sean O’Malley tells Chito Vera to hold his horses.
The newly crowned UFC Bantamweight Champion is already awaiting his next challenger after dispatching of Aljamain Sterling in two rounds at UFC 292. There are quite a few options for ‘Suga’s’ first title defense: Merab Dvalishvili, Cory Sandhagen, and Henry Cejudo.
O’Malley vs. Vera 2?
But in the end, O’Malley would set his sights onto old rival Chito Vera instead. O’Malley’s first and only loss is to Vera, where he was TKO’ed in one round back in 2020.
While O’Malley wants to get that one back, he seems to be annoyed by Vera’s title campaign thus far.

O’Malley Responds To Vera
“The Chito thing worked out nice. Chito beat Pedro, but Chito, he actually needs to f*cking settle down a little bit,” O’Malley said on his podcast. “He’s like, I’m ready to sign the contract. I’m f*cking next turn in line. I’m like, chill bud. I finished Pedro in two rounds. You went to a decision in a boring fight. You wouldn’t get a title shot after that fight if it if it wasn’t for me.
“So, you need to f*cking settle down or I’ll pick Henry Cejudo and don’t think that I don’t have the power to f*cking pick who I wanna fight right now. You better f*cking go on Twitter and say, ‘daddy, will you fight me?’ And I’ll f*cking think about it. But you need to settle down after, like you call the shot right now, because I’ll go box Gervonta [Davis]. I’ll fight Henry. I’ll wait for Cory [Sandhagen]. You need to f*cking chill out with your ugly ass outfits. He’s acting like, ‘oh, yep, I’m getting the title’. He’s like, ‘title shot next’. You need to settle down.”
‘He’s Probably So Mad’
Talking about ‘settling down’, O’Malley thinks Henry Cejudo threw a tantrum after he beat Sterling, which is something the former champ couldn’t accomplish.
“[Cejudo] he’s probably so mad,” O’Malley continued. “He probably punched a hole, like really low on a wall. He’s probably not happy.”
Cejudo’s Call-Out, O’Malley’s Response
Like Vera, Cejudo has also been angling for a fight with the new champion.

“Why is he throwing shade?” O’Malley responded. “These guys need to understand that— be nice to me. I am the king. Ask me. He says, Hey daddy, will you fight me? I’ll say, I’ll think about it, but this shit? Call me a trans barbie. What if I really was trans? And I’m offended now. Now I’m not gonna fight you because I was thinking about transitioning.”
“I would teach him [takedown defense], I would literally teach him while we fight. This guy thinks he’s so fucking good. It’s so funny. I love when Conor [McGregor’ was just roasting him after the Aljo fight saying, oh, this the shit he was saying. It was so funny. It would suck being five three though. Life’s taller, tougher.”
