Sean O’Malley has his sights set on a big time bantamweight clash with Petr Yan

Sean O’Malley Calls Out Petr Yan

Taking to a recent episode of his podcast, “TMS,” O’Malley began laying the foundation for his next Octagon appearance.

O’Malley went through all of the top names at 135 pounds, noticing that only one, along with his, are not currently booked for a fight or injured.

That being former division champion Petr Yan. O’Malley took the opportunity to call out Yan for a future clash inside the Octagon.

“TJ has a fight booked,” O’Malley began. “Jose Aldo has a fight booked, Cory Sandhagen fight booked, Chito fight booked, Rob Font still injured, Dominick Cruz fight booked, now I’m ranked number nine.

“The only other f*cking little weasel that doesn’t is Petr Yan. He said “Hey poodle, call me out if you win.”

“They didn’t give me the mic to be able to do that, but I feel like he’s just like Henry (Cejudo) dude. All talk. Henry doesn’t want that fight, or else we can make it happen. Petr, same thing.”

O’Malley then teased calling out Yan on social media live on the show. Yan’s last Octagon appearance took place at UFC 273 back in April.

He lost his 135-pound unification bout against Aljamain Sterling via split decision. Now, Yan will need to string together a few more wins before competing for UFC gold again.

As for O’Malley, now that he’s cracked into the top ten, he’s looking for a big victory to propel him into title contention. Who better than a former champion in Yan?
