Thug Rose was the biggest underdog on UFC 217’s main card, stepped into the octagon to face Joanna Jedrzejczyk and shocked the world by knocking out Jedrzejczyk with a left hook in the first round to score the strawweight title.
As per a report from (Bartek Stachura of Lowking.PL), Namajunas will defend her strawweight title at UFC 221 in Perth, on February 11. Her opponent will be Tecia Torres, who she fought twice previously.

Stachura’s report was subsequently followed up by WMMARankings.com.
If these reports are true, their bout will feature a second title fight on UFC 221.
Undefeated prospect Tecia Torres defeated Namajunas at Invicta FC 6 back in 2013 via unanimous decision. In their rematch, last year in April Thug Rose defeated Torres at UFC on Fox 19 via unanimous decision. Both athletes handed each other their career defeat once.
Torres, meanwhile, is currently on a three-fight streak, having recently defeated Bec Rawlings, Juliana Lima, and most recently Michelle Waterson. She holds an impressive 10-1 record.
UFC 221 fully stacked event will also include a heavyweight bout between Mark Hunt and Curtis Blaydes, a flyweight bout between Ben Nguyen and Jussier “Formiga” da Silva and many more.
Do you think Namajunas will manage to retain her title?
