Rose Namajunas Has Unrealistic Terms For Potential Joanna Jedrzejczyk Trilogy

Joanna Jedrzejczyk was ruling Strawweight division for more than three years, demolishing all the opponents along the way… Rose Namajunas put her to a halt with the tremendous first-round punch KO at UFC 217.

The popularity of these two fighters gained were enormous, so UFC officials slated their rematch for UFC 223. Despite Joanna Jedrzejczyk was a lot tougher this time, Rose Namajunas successfully defended the belt, winning the fight via unanimous decision. Joanna wants to retain the belt from Thug Rose, who has her own thoughts of their possible third showdown.

When she was speaking with TMZ Sports, Rose Namajunas ignited a dangerous spark, claiming she is not interested to offer JJ a chance for a rematch until she has few more victories under her belt. (via MMAFighting.com)

“Right now, that fight doesn’t really interest me at the moment,” said Namajunas. “I think I’d be interested to see how she does with somebody else before even entertaining that possibility. At the moment, there’s not much to gain from running that back again.”

Rose Namajunas has two victories over Joanna, so the best Polish female competitor of all time will have to work hard to climb to the top of that mountain. Joanna Jedrzejczyk is scheduled to face Tecia Torres on July 28 in Calgary, Canada. Tecia Torres claims Joanna should confess the defeat to Thug Rose and show more humility.

But looks like Thug Rose would accept the fight immediately if “Joanna Champion” confesses in public who the real Strawweight division champ is.

“Unless she says I’m the best – publicly!” said Namajunas. “Publicly because I already know she knows. You gotta say it to everybody! [Laughs] She knows I’m the best but she won’t admit it to everybody.”

What do you think, shall we watch their showdown soon? Is there a chance we will watch a similar scenario to Wanderlei Silva vs Rampage Jackson 3?
