Rory McDonald would really like to fight BJ Penn

If they ever decided to make a new version of the movie ‘Terminator’ then either Alistair Overeem or Rory McDonald should star in it. I know you are sitting over in your Ikea desk chair and shaking your head at my opinion and franticly typing a 350 word mini dissertation on whom ever you think would be a better person to play the part of Terminator. Go ahead try and make my day, but it really doesn’t matter to me because this is my fantasy Terminator movie remake and you will not change my mind.

The reasons I picked Overeem are obvious. Rory Mcdonald, probably not so much. He doesn’t walk around causing women (and some men?) to spontaneously errupt into orgasm face. He doesn’t make Xyience energy drink cans fall over by merely looking in their direction and he doesn’t do bicep curls with 14 Japanese women hanging from his arms. He doesn’t have anything like the ‘Overeem Effect’ named after him, although maybe he should. Maybe there should be something called the ‘Rory Effect’ posted on wikipedia and its description should just include a picture of Che Mills’ face after UFC 145.

He is probably someone you would walk by on the street and not even notice. He’s quiet, unassuming and blends in with us regular folk. But if you notice he barely breaks a smile before and during a fight. His facial expresssion and emotion almost never changes. Even in the midst of a fight, he goes in and systematically destroys an opponent without twitching a facial muscle to show the slightest bit of anticipation or excitement. He never calls anyone out, he never draws attention to himself. Until now that is. He talked to Ariel Helwani on MMAFighting.com this week and for the first time he has come out and in a very Terminator like way and respectful way has called out BJ Penn to fight in Toronto. Check it out:
