Ian Garry is ready to slap the mouth off of Colby Covington and he’s confident he can do it in short order.
‘The Future’ has been pushing hard for a clash with the three-time title challenger ever since ‘Chaos’ decided to jump on the bandwagon, bagging on Garry and his marriage to 41-year-old TV personality Layla Anna-Lee.
Recently, Garry revealed that a contract was drawn up for the two to fight this summer, though Garry is less than confident that Covington will have “the balls” to sign on the dotted line.
“If Colby signs that contract, I’m gonna walk out with my knee up going, ‘Take the f*cking thing. Take the f*cking thing and let’s see what happens.’ I will rag doll him. I promise you now,” Garry told Full Send during a backstage interview at UFC 301 in Rio de Janeiro. “There’s no doubt in my mind I will rag doll him.
“The truth is, I genuinely don’t see any world where Colby signs the contract. I genuinely don’t, but if he’s man enough to, and if he has the balls to do it, then Colby, show up.”
After going 2-2 in his previous four fights and taking more than a year off, Covington talked himself into another welterweight title opportunity, challenging current champion Leon Edwards at UFC 296 in December. Like his two prior attempts, ‘Chaos’ came up short and left the Octagon empty-handed.

Since then, ‘Chaos’ has repeatedly directed his attention toward Garry and his wife and even laid down three stipulations before he would agree to sign the contract — one of which being that Anna-Lee would have to “get on her hands and knees and beg.”
Obviously, that didn’t sit well with the Irishman.
“Colby’s just talking sh*t and stipulations to keep his name relevant because he doesn’t want to fight again,” Garry said. “He got his ass handed to him by Leon [Edwards]. And someone like me, a young buck coming up, undefeated. I’ll retire that man and take him out of this game [MMA] for good.”
He added, “I don’t think you’re any f*cking good, and I think I’ll slap the mouth off you within five minutes. Colby, be the man you say you are. Sign the f*cking contract. Show up June 29 and just get your ass whooped.”
