A new report has surfaced claiming Ronda Rousey is looking to make a UFC comeback, but does it hold weight?

Rousey is believed to have been written off WWE television following her SummerSlam match against Shayna Baszler. Several wrestling insiders such as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter have said that this may have been Rousey’s last appearance as an in-ring WWE talent, period.

Is Ronda Rousey Eyeing UFC Return?

A new report from Daily Mail is claiming that Ronda Rousey now has her sights set on having one more pro MMA fight for the UFC 300 card. In the report is a quote from one of Rousey’s “confidants.”

“She just had a match at SummerSlam and is looking to wind down her time and commitments with the WWE and she is now focusing on potentially making a run to have one last fight in the UFC and compete at UFC 300 when that presents itself sometime next year.”

The report has surfaced shortly after UFC President Dana White denied rumors of “Rowdy” making a return to the sport of MMA (h/t Bloody Elbow).

“There’s no shot,” White told reporters. “She accomplished everything she set out to do.”

The UFC boss pointed out that Rousey has garnered tremendous success over the years both in the UFC and with outside ventures.

“Her dream was to win a UFC championship then win a WWE championship,” continued White. “And she’s done it. Now she’s starting a family. Ronda has made so much money and she’s still making a lot of money in sponsorships.”

Rousey hasn’t had a pro MMA fight since late 2016. She ended her prizefighting run on back-to-back finishing losses to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes. The UFC Hall of Famer retired from MMA and went on to have a successful WWE run that was marred at times by her real-life issues with wrestling fans, and criticism of her promos.
