Report: Brian Ortega Officially Out From UFC 226

No one will replace undefeated Brian Ortega’s opponent at his UFC 226 co-main bout.

Yesterday MMA world suddenly rocked after hearing UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway ruled medically unfit to compete due to concussions like symptoms at Saturday, July 7 UFC 226 PPV card held inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

As per Brazilian News outlet Combate, Ortega’s camp confirmed that “T-City” is out also out of eagerly anticipated title bout as there will be no replacement for Holloway.

According to Lance Pugmire of LATimes.com, there are some initial reports that Max Holloway vs. Brian Ortega is targeted to pursue at UFC 227 on Aug. 4 in Los Angeles. However, Holloway’s team hasn’t responded yet.

At the present moment no official statement from UFC yet, if they will add any other bout or they will proceed just as 11 bouts in the card. UFC 226 is set to go down on July 7, via pay-per-view at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
