Renzo Gracie Signs with UFC and Matt Brown Wants to Show Him Some Respect

Rumors have been swirling around for months about a possible matchup between Renzo Gracie and Matt Hughes slated for the first quarter of 2010, well Fighters Only Magazine has reported today that Renzo Gracie has signed with the UFC…we’ll just have to wait to get confirmation on who will be his first match-up. 

What we do know is that Matt Brown wants to show him some RESPECT.

You know the kind of respect you show someone when you take your fist and use it to rearrange their facial features? Yep, that kind. Matt Brown wants to be the first person to welcome the Brazilian black belt bad ass, Pride fighting legend and Il Duce of Jiu Jitsu to the Octagon again with a big Matt Brown style bear hug. That’s right, Matt Brown recently told MMAweekly.com,

“I actually called Joe Silva today asking for a fight…I called and asked him for Renzo (Gracie) because he’s coming and he needs a warm-up fight, so I was like I feel like I’d be a good warm-up fight.”

“I only want it out of respect for Renzo”.

OK Matt, since you are my 2K10 version of Chuck Norris I wouldn’t dare question your intentions for fear of being flying kneed back into Jesus days so that I can personally ask him for forgiveness for ever doubting you.
