Renato Moicano is not a fan of his character design in EA Sports’ UFC 4 video game.

The No. 13 ranked lightweight contender turned heads last month with his memorable post-fight interview following a first-round rear-naked choke submission of Brad Riddell at UFC 281. The following week, Moicano appeared on ‘The MMA Hour‘ with Ariel Helwani to discuss his new and much more vocal personality. Moicano revealed that he learned a fair amount of English while playing Call of Duty online, but that wasn’t the only video game Moicano wanted to discuss during his interview.

Moicano took a moment to throw some criticism toward his character’s design in the UFC 4 video game, saying:

“Did you see the guy? Man, my f*cking character’s clapped, bro,” Moicano said. “He doesn’t look like me. Look, man. Look at the eyes, bro. It looks like I smoke weed or something, bro,” Moicano said. “If they can update my photo, it would be better. Put some new tattoos and (make sure) my eyes (don’t) look like that… Please, fix that character. It’s clapped, bro.”

Though not a fan of the way the developers designed his character, Moicano is thrilled to be part of the video game, calling it one of the happiest days of his life.

“I’m really happy to be on the game. You know, the moment that I discovered that I was in the game was the second happiest day in my life… Maybe the third,” Moicano said. “I never thought I’d be in a f*cking game, bro. That’s f*cking amazing. This is crazy… I spent one week laughing with happiness” (h/t MMA News)

Renato Moicano has won four of his last six bouts inside the Octagon dating back to 2020. The two losses came against Rafael Fiziev and a short-notice bout with Rafael dos Anjos at UFC 272 in March. Moicano has earned notable wins over Jeremy Stephens, Calvin Kattar, and Cub Swanson.
