Randy Brown Decisions Francisco Trinaldo In Close Contest – UFC Vegas 61 Results (Highlights)

Randy ‘Rude Boy’ Brown takes on the 44 year-old Francisco Trinaldo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Round 1:

Both Randy Brown and Francisco Trinaldo trade kicks to begin the round. Trinaldo throws an inside leg kick which gets Brown down to his knee. Brown throws a massive right hand which knocks down Trinaldo. The Brazilian gets back up quickly. Trinaldo throws a nice combo which he uses to clinch up with Brown. Trinaldo attempts a takedown but Brown illegally grabs the cage to deny it. 

Trinaldo eventually gets the takedown on his second attempt. He’s not able to hold him down long as Brown scrambles back to his feet. Brown tries to choke out Trinaldo but the bell sounds before the submission can get any tighter.

Round 2: 

Brown is consistent with the jab. Both men throw a lot of feints from the distance. Trinaldo lands punches to the body and then head of Brown. Trinaldo lands a big left hand on Brown. The fighters trade punches and bunches with one minute to go. Trinaldo clinches up with Brown, wrapping his arms around his back to get a takedown before the round ends. 

Round 3:

Brown lands two straight left hands. Brown goes for a spinning back kick on Trinaldo which looks to have landed. Trinaldo rushes in for a successful takedown. With top control, Trinaldo rains down a few good elbows on Brown. Brown shows good defense from the bottom position, not letting Trinaldo do too much of anything.

Official result: Randy Brown defeats Francisco Trinaldo via unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
