Rampage vs. Lil Nog is going down

If you’ve ever had the privilege of driving a 1983 Cadillac Eldorado you’ll wonder how it was ever considered a ‘state of the art’ luxury sedan twenty-seven years ago. Everything about this car was poorly designed, including the ashtrays. I’m a far cry from a mechanical engineer, but I’d like to think that ashtray technology has come a long way since then. You should be able to dump out ash without needing to disassemble/reassemble your entire dashboard; I believe it’s a standard feature on most new vehicles. The windows may take a while to roll up as they get stuck halfway on hot days and the car smells like a factory that produces corduroy evening-wear. However, engaging the AM radio and just going for a drive is immensely gratifying. It’s like waking up and finding out that Joe Silva is putting together a fight between Rampage and Lil Nog. To hell with all the other stuff that’s going wrong in the world. Every time the UFC picks two names out of the metaphorical “Pride Veteran” hat, all the shortcomings of my day fade away.

TATAME learned with close sources that this fight has been agreed upon and contracts are en route to both fighters. Lil Nog is coming off a controversial split decision win over Jason Brillz who took the fight on short notice and nearly upset Rogério, the same night Rampage was just a couple left hooks away from sending Rashad down Queer Street. What makes this match-up perfect is Nogueira’s boxing background. Dude finished 3rd in the 2007 Pan-American Games as a super-heavyweight. His hand speed and knockout power were on full display against Luiz Cane at UFC 106, where Lil Nog made short work of a top prospect with a 1st round knockout win. It’s no secret what Rampage wants to do when he steps into the cage, and facing Rogério has all the workings of a rawesome stand-up battle that ends with one fighter re-evaluating his career. If only Joe Silva were a Cadillac engineer or a taco vendor, the BP Oil Spill might just fix itself and we could all live in harmony. Every time he resurrects the glory days of Pride, we get one step closer to that utopia. [Source]
