Pros React To Crazy Brawl After Khabib Scores A Win Over Conor Mcgregor
The biggest fight in the UFC history is in the books, as division’s champion Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted Conor McGregor via neck crank to retain the gold last night (Sat., Oct. 6, 2018) in the main headliner of UFC 229 which went down inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Immediately after the fight, all hell loose broke when Khabib leaped over the cage and started a brawl with McGregor’s teammate and coach Dillon Danis. Thus two of Khabib’s teammate jumped inside the Octagon and sucker punched McGregor from behind. Police immediately involved and separated both camps teammates.
UFC president Dana white express his disgust at Mcgregor vs. Khabib post-fight brawl, even Khabib’s teammates were arrested for shortly later released when Conor Mcgregor refuse to do the press charges against them.

“A LOT OF BAD STUFF THAT SHOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED,” WHITE SAID OF THE BRAWL. “KHABIB JUMPED OVER THE CAGE GOING AFTER ONE OF CONOR’S GUYS, WHO I GUESS WAS TALKING TRASH TO HIM, AND ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE. I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY RIGHT NOW. I’M JUST DISGUSTED AND SICK OVER IT.”
Dana White explained why he didn’t put the belt on Khabib’s with a fear of fans threw trash and other stuff at him as he leaves the arena.
“I KNEW THAT WAS GONNA HAPPEN,” HE SAID. “I SAID, ‘IF WE PUT THE BELT ON HIM IN THE OCTAGON, THEY’RE GONNA BE THROWING WHATEVER THEY GOT DOWN INTO THE OCTAGON. SO I SAID, ‘LET’S JUST TRY TO GET HIM OUT OF HERE WITHOUT ANY INCIDENT.’”
White said Khabib’s teammates released as Mcgregor refused to do the press charges against them.
“He didn’t care about the fight after. He was more concerned with the fight fight,” White said at the post-fight press conference (transcribed by Tim Bissell). “He said ‘listen man, I’m upset. I don’t give a shit about any of that, we don’t like each other.’
“You know he doesn’t like Khabib and the whole deal, but he didn’t press charges against him and the whole team. He doesn’t care about that. He cares that he lost the fight.”
Check out how Twitter reacted to post-fight brawl.
Hey guys, two wrongs don’t make it right. Conor didn’t deserve that. No one did. But some things aren’t for fight promotion. Religion, family, country. Throwing stuff in Brooklyn. For Khabib it wasn’t fight promotion, it was really personal. Diff culture man. Sucks

All in brawl whatever.. but don’t be climbing fences sneaking up from behind like a dog. That’s just coward shit.
— Bec Rodriguez (@RowdyBec) October 7, 2018
Terrible way to end the event no doubt. Crazy how not too long ago Conor jumped on top of the fence and swung at a referee and now someone that isn’t involved in the fight jumps in and swings on him.

People get mad at @TeamKhabib but forget what Conor has done a few months ago, it’s all fun and games when it’s for hype and attention but sometimes you play with the wrong people!! If you don’t want none don’t start none
— TyroneSpong (@Tyrone_spong) October 7, 2018
If Connor was the one to win and do all the extra stuff Dana would have put that belt around his waist and smiled.
— Will Brooks (@ILLxWillBrooks) October 7, 2018
I don’t condone what happened, but you talk that much trash and attack a nation and get that personal you can’t be surprised. Fun fight, but sucks it ended that way I just hope no one gets hurt in the aftermath.
— Erik Jon Koch (@NEWBREED04) October 7, 2018
I agree Connor started this from the beginning but Khabib proved his point in the octagon with a dominant performance!! No need to carry it to this extent and stoop to the same level as Connor.

Conor didn't lose his Visa for the bus incident so why would Khabib? Let's be real here. UFC can get anyone a Visa they want to
— James Vick (@JamesVickMMA) October 7, 2018
Just to be clear I don’t condone what happen to McGregor (being attack after the fight) and I don’t agree with Khabib going after Danis. Still Danis needs to stop acting like a fool and McGregor needs keep family out of it. https://t.co/1hUCoaz9cE

Do y’all remember Mac and 30 of his friends raided backstage and threw a dolly at Khabib iNJURING several other FIGHTERS and STAFF. Also throwing mud on Khabibs family , team and country for several months and you think it’ll all be cool?…Now they making Mac the victim here?

Khabib had the chance to be the bigger man. He didn’t.
Connor should have gotten a harder penalty for the trolley and Khabib should get punished hard because of this. Please don’t ruin our sport… it’s important to us #ufc229— Emil Valhalla Meek (@emilvalhalla) October 7, 2018
One thing I will say and give credit to Connor. He got jumped and cracked pretty clean, and he walked out of there like a fucking man. Honestly looked like he didn’t give a fuck. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 all you Twitter bitches take notes

Sad. Straight up sad. I’m speechless. The biggest night in UFC history is damaged. I feel bad for Conor, Dana, UFC, and most of all for Khabib. He’s worked his entire life for this moment. One millisecond of emotion ruined it all. #UFC229

Unacceptable! You can’t jump the fence and punch the fighter. Awesome fights but on the end 👎🏽
— Rafael dos Anjos (@RdosAnjosMMA) October 7, 2018
Truly impressed with how the @UFC & Security delt with that chaotic situation. Unfortunately this chaos with spill out into the streets. Be safe out there folks. #ufc229

Watching the @TheNotoriousMMA vs @TeamKhabib fight. Unimaginable never thought it would go down like this. Crazier than my fight riot.

Conor does whatever the fuck he wants and nobody says shit he’s welcomed back with open arms , khabib hops the cage after all these people said about him and everyone’s like omg what a bad person how could he do that haha

Khabib’s ability to hook the legs and prevent everyone from getting up is incredible #ufc229

Connor getting away with a lot of fouls tonight #ufc229
— Brad Tavares (@BradTavares) October 7, 2018
Love seeing McGregor get away with illegally hooking Khabib’s glove in order to stall 🙄
— Curtis Blaydes (@RazorBlaydes265) October 7, 2018
Mcgregor has committed more fouls than an nba player. 1.) hooking the glove. 2.) pulling the shorts 3.) feet in the cage. 4.) knee to the face on the ground and not even a warning what a joke

Another historical night. Amazing atmosphere, technical fight with excitement all the way thru. All that makes MMA a great sport. Shame about the ending. On to the next one.
