As expected, MMA fans were delighted with another superb Nate Diaz performance at UFC 279. Diaz, who was originally slated against Khamzat Chimaev, took on fellow UFC veteran Tony Ferguson in the main event and did not fail to deliver once again.
What a fight
After having a couple of back and forths in the first three rounds, Diaz finally managed to control “El Cucuy” on the ground and finished him off with a guillotine choke in the fourth round.
Nothing is official yet but it is believed that UFC 279 would be Diaz’s final fight under the UFC banner.
