Ex-UFC and Bellator MMA fighter Phil De Fries continued his dominant run under the KSW banner, scoring his ninth-straight defense of the promotion’s heavyweight title.
Emanating from Gdynia Arena in Gdynia, Poland, KSW 84 delivered a plethora of highlight-reel-worthy action, all capped off by De Fries’ second-round submission victory against challenger Szymon Bajor. The Englishman now finds himself on an incredible 12-fight win streak dating back to 2017.
Phil De Fries once again proved himself to be perhaps the best heavyweight fighter outside of the UFC. During his run with the promotion, De Fries struggled to find the win column, going 2-3 with losses to former two-time heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, Matt Mitrione, and Todd Duffee.
He bounced around a bit following his UFC exit, competing for M-1 and Bellator before landing in the Poland-based KSW. With his 20th career finish, De Fries moved to 26-4 overall.
De Fries’ opponent, Szymon Bajor, saw his four-fight win streak come to an end following the devastating loss.
