What A Superman Punch By Anthony Pettis For A Second Round KO Win Over Stephen Thompson!!!
UFC on ESPN+ 6 is going down tonight (Saturday, March 23rd, 2019) from inside Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The event is headlined by the Welterweight fight between Kempo, Jujutsu, and American Kickboxing black belt Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson and the former WEC and UFC 155-pound king Anthony “Showtime” Pettis.
The third man inside the Octagon is Herb Dean. Here we go!
Round 1
Fighters touch gloves, and good kick Pettis. Pettis going forward, Wonderboy tries with a side kick to the body, Pettis aims for a Taekwondo side kick to the body. It seems Pettis holds his hands very high. Good kick Pettis, Wonderboy ate a big shot.
Thompson eats another middle kick, good movement on both sides. Strong right low kick Pettis, but Thompson returns again. Good kick from Thompson, Pettis defends well, he holds a boxing guard, which is very weird for him.

Pettis misses with a kick, Wonderboy lands a good middle kick. Thompson delivers a big punch, and a fantastic kick exchange, these two are just killing each other.
Great kick to the body Pettis. Amazing 1-2 combo Stephen Thompson, Pettis goes forward. An outstanding kick exchange, Pettis misses with a spinning heel kick to the body, amazing side kick to the body Thompson, who connects with the punches to the head.
Left low kick Pettis. What a punch combo by Stephen Thompson, but Pettis survives. Excellent right hand Pettis! It seems Pettis is bleeding!
Good jab Wonderboy, and an outstanding spinning heel kick, Pettis blocks it well. Great punch exchange on both sides, left kick to the body Thompson, followed by a low kick. Right hook and left straight Wonderboy. Pettis ends the round with a spinning kick to the body. Very hard to score.
Pettis’ corner advises him to go forward and maintain the same strategy. Thompson’s coach says to improve the defense.
Round 2
Fighters touch gloves again. Pettis goes forward again. Good jab Wonderboy, and now a question mark kick followed by a left high kick. Wonderboy switches stances. Pettis keeps going forward, left middle kick from Thompson.
Pettis goes for a right high kick, misses. Thompson misses kick, and Pettis lands two great low kicks. It seems Pettis bleeds heavily. Good side kick to the body Thompson. Pettis pulls back.
Wonderboy lands a left middle kick, good right punch to the head Thompson, low kick Pettis. Great low kicks on both sides. Pettis goes forward again.
Middle kick Thompson, and a punch to the body. An excellent low kick Anthony Pettis, Wonderboy can’t defend. Left punch to the head Stephen. 1-2 combo Wonderboy, followed by a left high kick, ends up in the guard. Low kick Pettis.
1-2 punch combo Thompson again, low kick Thompson. Good jab, followed by a straight right. Great jab Anthony Pettis. Thompson feints his opponent and misses right high kick by a hair. What a punch by Wonderboy. It seems the two are cautious. Pettis demolishes his opponent with low kicks, there is blood on Wonderboy’s leg!!!
