Paulo Costa has had a change in management.

Costa takes on former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold in the co-main event of UFC 278 taking place next week in Salt Lake City, Utah.

And right before what could be a pivotal fight for him, “The Eraser” revealed he was no longer being represented by longtime manager Wallid Ismail.

Costa revealed the news in a recently-released 13-minute video on YouTube as he detailed his history with Ismail while pointing out that the pair didn’t separate on bad terms.

“I have nothing bad to say about Wallid. He is an honest person and very professional, I just have compliments about him,” Costa said (via Sherdog). “We just have different views about my career and, because of that, we decided to not work together anymore.”

Luckily for Costa, he remains in good hands.

The Brazilian revealed he would now be represented by his girlfriend Tamara Alves in what doesn’t come as much of a surprise given Costa’s overall nature.

Costa will be competing for the first time since his light heavyweight encounter with Marvin Vettori back in October.

As for Ismail, this is the second high-profile client he has lost after UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo parted ways with him after they disagreed on the UFC’s decision to create an interim title.
