Fans are really laying it into Paige VanZant for what some are calling a botched tattoo job after a recent Instagram post.
Paige VanZant mocked by fans
The All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and combat sports star recently shared an Instagram post, showing off her new tattoo. The quote reads “heart of a warrior, soul of a lion”. VanZant shared the following post, with the caption below.
“Heart of a Warrior, Soul of a Lion,” VanZant posted. “No one can ever deny how much heart I have in my fights. At times I’ll drop everything I have ever learned and fight with nothing but pride, which doesn’t always lead to the best outcome. This is a reminder to myself, I already have the heart and soul all I need to do is take care of the rest.”
However, some of VanZant’s 3.2 million followers were quick to respond, questioning the quote in regards to whether or not it was actually tattooed correctly. The quote on VanZant reads “heart of a warrior, soul of a lion.”
Some, however, argue the correct quote is “heart of a lion, soul of a warrior.” Many fans commented similar points, poking fun at VanZant for potentially getting the quote tattooed onto herself incorrectly.
Some comments were even harsher, with one fan saying, “That’s the dumbest tattoo ever! He should be ashamed for putting that on you.”
This is just one of numerous comments available in the comments section of the above post. You can check them out above. As of this writing, VanZant has yet to respond to any of the online blow back.
She hasn’t had much luck as a bare-knuckle boxer. She lost both of her first two bouts. Aside from her fighting career, VanZant has also dabbled in a few other things, running a fansite and signing a contract with AEW.
On July 9, VanZant will return to BKFC’s first event on British soil, as they host the promotion’s inaugural event in London. Despite being 0-2 so far, she already has a contract extension.
