Orion Starr Set To Her MMA Debut In Bellator
Orion Starr is best known for her role in the adult film industry. However, she is now set to make her MMA debut in Bellator this weekend.
Starr, whose real name is Rebecca Bryggman, announced her intent to make her MMA debut last month. Now, that fight is officially set to go down, later tonight. She will be facing Elise Reed in Bellator, at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
The bout between Starr and Reed takes place on the undercard of the event. Additionally, the Bellator 231 card will feature the likes of former WWE star Jake Hager, in his third professional fight. On top of that, heavyweights Frank Mir and Roy Nelson go toe to toe in the main event.
While this is her professional debut, Orion Starr had a small amateur career. She went 2-0 as an amateur, competing in Triton Fights in New York. Additionally, she also had a single kickboxing fight, which she lost, in 2016.
Starr has been training out of Maximum BJJ, an affiliate of former UFC champ Matt Serra. This, combined with her kickboxing experience, implies that we should see a well-rounded game from her. However, time will tell how she looks, although it is important to manage expectations.

Orion Starr seems very excited to make her pro debut at Bellator 231. The fights stream on DAZN, with the prelims starting at 6pm EST. It will be interesting to see how she looks in her debut, and if she is a potential prospect in the Bellator cage.
