‘The City of Light’ plays host to a light heavyweight bout.
Former UFC title challenger Volkan Oezdemir defends his ranking against Bogdan Guskov. Oezdemir looks to bounce back from a loss to Nikita Krylov in October, while Guskov makes his UFC debut after going 14-2 on the regional scene.
The action takes place from the Accor Arena in Paris, France.
Oezdemir throws out some kicks to start the fight. Oezdemir lands a jab and gets off a few more punches on Guskov. Guskov looks to land big, but isn’t able to get his striking game going as Oezdemir shoots for a takedown. Guskov goes for an unsuccessful guillotine on the entry. Oezdemir topples Guskov on the ground. Oezdemir takes Guskov’s back for a second before both men go back to their feet. Oezdemir fires multiple leg kicks.
Oezdemir cracks Guskov with a left hook and then an uppercut. Oezdemir pours it on and Guskov finally goes down. Oezdemir swarms Guskov with ground and pound. Eating punches left and right, Guskov gives up his back to Oezdemir and ‘No Time’ wastes literally no time in locking up a rear-naked choke. Within seconds, Guskov is forced to tap out to the submission.
