NSAC Will Also Be Filing Complaints Against Mystic Mac Conor Mcgregor
UFC 229 PPV event which went down last Saturday, October 6th from Las Vegas and we got to witness some great fights inside Octagon, but outside of the cage things were as wild one. The bad blood between the Mcgregor and Khabib ended up boiling over.
Immediately after scoring the biggest win of his career, Khabib jumped over the cage fence into the crowd to attack McGregor’s teammate and Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis. That sparked the riots and members from both camps swinging on each other.
UFC president Dana White expressed his disgust and sadness over post-fight melee and said Khabib could face a severe repercussion over his antics from NSAC.
Nurmagomedov’s fight purse of $2 million also remains withheld by the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) and expected to face further sanctions as well other UFC fighters who were involved will be released from the organization. Mcgregor’s fight purse was also withheld briefly but was released shortly after reviewing the footage as chairman Anthony Marnell told ESPN.
“WE WILL BE FILING AGAINST CONOR MCGREGOR AND KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV. BECAUSE WE WITHHELD ONE PURSE, WE WILL HAVE TO MOVE EXPEDITIOUSLY TO A COMPLAINT AND HEARING. WE HAVE HELD 100 PERCENT OF ONE OF THE FIGHTER’S MONEY, SO THE GOAL IS TO GET THE COMPLAINTS OUT IN THE NEXT 24 TO 48 HOURS.
THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS HERE. THERE ARE A LOT OF CHARGES THAT CAN BE BROUGHT AGAINST A SPECTATOR WHO CAME OVER THE BARRICADE, THROUGH THE COMMISSION SECTION, AND INTO THE OCTAGON TO STRIKE A FIGHTER THREE TIMES. FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE A MASSIVE PROBLEM WITH THAT. THAT CAN NOT HAPPEN.

Chairman Marnell says Khabib could very well end up getting both fine and suspension. How long it’ll remain to be determined.
“BOTH. IT’S ALWAYS BOTH. WE COULD DO ONE OR THE OTHER, BUT AT LEAST IN THE CHAIR’S MIND, I THINK THE COMMISSION WILL BE ENTERTAINING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE ATTORNEY GENERAL THAT WILL INCLUDE BOTH.
THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE, THIS IS NOT A LIGHT ISSUE. THIS ISN’T, ‘WE SMACKED EACH OTHER IN THE FACE IN A HOTEL LOBBY THE WEEK OF A FIGHT.’ THIS IS THE NIGHT OF THE EVENT, AND IT NEEDS TO STAY INSIDE THAT FIELD OF COMBAT. NSAC’s decision to go after Irishman was decided after further reviewing the tape which was showing various angles of the brawl. Initially, all fingers were pointing out at Khabib for leaped over the fence to attacked Mcgregor camp. As well few members of Khabib’s camp jumped inside the Octagon swinging with Mcgregor.
Later another video surfaced online showing McGregor was also taking a beat at a member of Eagle’s camp first which instigate two members from Khabib cam to leap the cage to attack the Notorious.
Marnell said disciplinary hearings would go down by the end of November.
