Nate Diaz doesn’t think top boxing heavyweights Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua would stand a chance against him in a “real fight.”
Fury and Joshua will have their hands full inside the boxing ring soon. Fury will be fighting for undisputed heavyweight gold when he meets Oleksandr Usyk on May 18. Joshua will be taking on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou on March 8. If Joshua wins, he’ll likely be in line for the winner of Fury vs. Usyk. Of course, this is boxing, so old school politics could rear its ugly head. Boxing had a banner year in 2023, but many felt the heavyweight division was holding the sport back. Hopefully, the tide is turning within the weight class.
Regardless, Diaz feels none of the top heavyweights can beat him in an actual fight with all disciplines allowed.
Nate Diaz Says Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Don’t Stand A Chane In A Real Fight
During a chat with social media influencer Sneako, Nate Diaz said that while Fury and Joshua may competed at the highest levels of their sport, they wouldn’t be able to handle him in a street fight.
“I’ll f*ck up Tyson Fury, I’ll f*ck up Anthony Joshua, all these motherf*ckers in a real fight,” Diaz said. “They don’t stand a chance. Then, everybody’s going boxing Mayweather. I’m like. ‘Alright, we playin a little bit. We could all box,’ and I don’t like being flavor of the MMA month. I’m a boxer, I’m a jiu-jitsu guy, I’m a kickboxer. I don’t like any of the one-dimensional things by itself anyway. I like it all.”
Diaz has long shared his opinion on fights that limit the discipline to just one. Despite this, the Stockton native did share the boxing ring with Jake Paul back in August 2023. He lost the bout via unanimous decision, and has not accepted an MMA rematch with “The Problem Child,” as he seems to be unwilling to do business with PFL.
