- Dana White was trolled by majority of the MMA community over the slapping incident with his wife
- Brendan Schaub was among those who reacted to the UFC boss’ scandal
Dana White is the founder of Power Slap League, but on New Year’s Eve, the UFC boss became a hot subject of discussion on social media after he slapped his wife, Anna in the middle of a heated argument in a nightclub in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The incident was caught on camera and got the MMA community buzzing.
The boss was trolled
As expected, White was trolled by a number of Twitter users, mostly MMA aficionados and personalities. Among those who topped the list of the UFC president’s trolls was his regular critic and former heavyweight fighter Brendan Schaub.
“Oh damn. I thought it was the new embedded for the Slap league,” Schaub tweeted.

Like a real gentleman, White quickly addressed the issue and came clean about his mistake, something “Big Brown” commended him for in another tweet.
“All jokes aside. Handled it the right way,” he added.

While some reckoned that White did the right thing in the aftermath of the incident, it’s safe to say majority of the MMA community still gave him thumbs down for hurting his wife. In fact, some even suggested that White has to be fired or penalized for what he has done.
I love Dana and everything he has done for the sport… But he needs to be fired. If we want to be a credible sport we need to be treated as such. Roger Goodell would be fired, so would Adam Silver, Rob Manfred, and Gary Bettmen (Had to google that one…) #UFC #DanaWhite https://t.co/3q62oeZYSX

remember when the UFC hired independent investigators if a fighter was accused of domestic violence and 100% of the time they said there was no evidence of wrongdoing, and also those "independent investigators" were Dana White's personal lawyers? still a coincidence, surely

Wonder if this will be ignored like Jon Jones or if they will mark the end of Dana White and usher in the Hunter Campbell era. https://t.co/NIkGFOMRgD

Does the UFC survive if Dana White is no longer involved? #ufc #danawhite

White also assured everybody that he and his wife have already talked about the incident and their main priority at this point is to spare their kids from the negative impact it could cause.
